FSS Guidelines FSS-compliant forms would accept submissions as long as they contain all fields marked mandatory in the table above. Any other data required by the site would use reasonable defaults, e.g. Date would default to the date of submission, price would default to Free. Fields not marked as mandatory are optional for both parties. Authors need not submit them, and sites can ignore them. A standard set of categories will be defined in the FSS soon, which the participating sites will map as appropriate to their category system. Participating sites will check the URL has not been submitted before. This allows writers to initially submit all their articles to all sites without fear of duplication. This will only be done once - authors will be expected to submit new articles only. |
