As You know the newsletters have suffered recently.
Something had to give when I started work on other sites,
and this was it. Believe it or not I used to spend 20% of
my CYA time writing the newsletter!

For the foreseeable future I shall use this channel to
inform you of new and interesting content on the site, much
like the good old days when I started the site.

It won't be a common event to get a newsletter - I shall
"chat" on the aspcya mailing list. You can go to
http://aspfriends.com/aspfriends/aspcya.asp to sign up.

Most importantly this morning is that I now have a contest
at CYA - and one lucky winner will win over $300-worth of
prizes.

This time the prizes are a full license of CodeCharge
Professional ($279!) and a copy of the new book from Sams
Publishing "ASP.NET: Tips, Tricks and Code".

If you are already a member then you are already taking part
- all members are automatically entered in every contest.

If you are not a member, why not sign up? I collect no
personal information and send no emails - membership just
gives me a place to store your contest points.

Points? Yes, every time you visit the site you get 5 points.
Every page you view - another point. You can accumulate up
to 500 points in the two weeks of the contest, then one
lucky member is chosen to win everything!

The more points you have, the more chances of winning!

I never did tell you about Snippets, did I?

I needed a quicker way to add mini-articles to the site
after answering a question or discovering an interesting
feature, so I added snippets.

Stored entirely in the database, there are no pages to add
to the site. I just type in the details into my db admin
tool and it's live and fully searchable!

Check them out at http://CoverYourASP.com/AllSnippets.asp

What's next? Well, I've been working on CoverYourASP.NET to
teach you how to use the latest and greatest .NET and C#,
but progress has been slow even on that.

Doing consultancy work (See http://ShawThing.com/Consult.asp )
and working on other secret sites has just sucked up my time.

You have always proved very patient though. I'm getting
there slowly, one ASP site at a time!

Thanks Guys! Speak to you later.

Warmest Regards,

James Shaw
